Who we are

Mike was born and raised in Wadsworth, Ohio—Mills Street, to be exact. At the age of 25, he began his career in the HVAC industry, developing the skills and work ethic that would later shape his own business. By 29, Mike took a leap of faith and founded Kimmel Heating and Air Conditioning. 

Starting with a used van that he personally painted white so it would look professional for his customers, Mike relied on little more than his tools, determination, and the help of his son and right-hand man, Jimmy. Working out of his home, he answered every phone call himself and scheduled jobs week by week, slowly building a loyal customer base throughout the community. 

Over the years, Mike and Jimmy worked side by side, earning the trust and respect of their customers through honesty, hard work, and dependable service. They spent countless long days and late nights on the job—often responding to emergency calls in the middle of harsh weather—sacrificing time at home to ensure their customers stayed safe, comfortable, and cared for. 

Today, those same values continue to guide the company. This year, Kimmel Heating and Air Conditioning proudly celebrates 30 years of serving Wadsworth and the surrounding communities. What began as a small family operation has grown into a trusted local business, built on dedication, integrity, and a genuine commitment to the people they serve.
